著者、詩人、ビジュアル・アーティストのアン・カーソンさんの詩集Removing the Kimonoの出版を記念して、記念イベントが2月9日に行われます。

日本文化への愛と尊敬の念から生まれたこのイベントは、オーストラリアを代表する詩人の一人、ジェニファー・ハリソン博士とアン・カーソンさんによる、日本の詩、また日本文化に影響を受けた詩の朗読を、お昼のお弁当と共にお楽しみください。

 An afternoon of Japanese-inspired poetry and bento-box lunch to celebrate the launch of Removing the Kimono, the first full-length collection by Anne M Carson, & the work of Dr Jennifer Harrison, prominent Melbourne poet

On Sunday 9th February at 12 noon

Eltham Living and Learning Centre, 793 Main Rd, Eltham

 $40 includes lunch, poetry reading and poetry book (choose from selected poets)

Dr Jennifer Harrison, one of Australia’s best-known poets, has published seven collections of poetry and has won many awards. In 2011 she received FAW Christopher Brennan Award for sustained contribution to Australian poetry. Jennifer is a board member of the International Poetry Studies Centre, based at the University of Canberra, and, combining her careers of child psychiatrist and poet, is joint curator of the poetry collection at the Dax Centre at the University of Melbourne. She has long been a selfless mentor to many Melbourne poets.

Anne M Carson is a writer and visual artist. In 2012 she won the Martha Richardson Poetry Medal and came equal first in the Stones Winery Competition. In 2013 she was commended in the Max Harris Poetry Prize. She has curated two programs for ABC radio’s PoeticA program, In 2014 she will run the inaugural SecondBite Poetry Prize. Anne is also a Creative Writing Therapist and teaches Poetry Writing and Appreciation to adults. In 2013 Anne’s first full-length collection, Removing the Kimono, was published by Hybrid Publishers.
