“Opportunities in and with Japan”
Are you interested in learning about infrastructure opportunities in Japan?
The Australia Japan Business Cooperation Committee and the Department of State Development, Business and Innovation, will hold a seminar on Thursday 17th July on the topic of Australia and Japan – opportunities in and with Japan.
Why Japan?
- Much of Japan’s infrastructure is ageing and needs replacement
- Japan is looking to infrastructure as a substantial means of revitalising the domestic economy
- Japan will host the 2020 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games
- Australia has expertise in a number of areas including design, project management, PPP delivery and project financing of relevance to Japan’s future needs.
Senior Government representatives from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), Prefectural and City level governments, amongst others, will speak on:
- Japan’s “New Growth Strategy”
- Japan’s revitalisation program and timetable
- Case studies of Japan Australia cooperation
The seminar will also be an opportunity to hear about a proposed infrastructure mission to Japan in September this year.
