As you are aware, the Australia-Japan Society (ACT) Incorporated hosts an annual Goodwill Golf Tournament at the Federal Golf Club in Canberra. In the past, the Melbourne Chamber of Commerce and Industry has assisted in arranging for various prizes to be donated from among its members, which has been very much appreciated. This year, the tournament will be held on Monday 18 August and the purpose of this letter is to seek the Chamber’s continued support.
In an effort to make the year 2014 Tournament more interesting we are endeavouring to increase the field of business and diplomatic golfers. With this in mind, the Australia-Japan Society (ACT) Inc. wishes to invite your members to participate in and/or sponsor the tournament by donating prizes. In return for their support, the organising committee will at its discretion, invite corporate sponsors to nominate two representatives to play as guests of the Australia-Japan Society.
Attached to this letter is an article for inclusion in your next newsletter. The article provides general information on the tournament and invites Chamber members to participate in and/or act as corporate sponsors. I would appreciate it if you could encourage your members to advise of their intentions to sponsor and kindly send the prizes to the Australia Japan Society (ACT) Inc. GPO Box 1066, Canberra ACT 2601 and of their intention to play by Thursday, 14 August 2014.
