Manufacturing Technology (IMT) Program
During the past two years, over 70 Victorian manufacturing companies have transformed their businesses with assistance from the Investing in Manufacturing Technology (IMT) program.
The program provides grants of up to $250,000 for eligible Victorian manufacturers to purchase and integrate new technologies into manufacturing operations in order to improve business productivity and competitiveness.
Applications are assessed on a competitive basis, and funding is to be matched by a minimum co-contribution of $3 for every $1 granted.
IMT is an initiative under the Victorian Government’s Manufacturing Strategy.
Expressions of Interest for the program are currently open.
Businesses interested in applying for a grant are required to discuss their proposed project with a Victorian Government Business Development Manager (BDM).

Manufacturing Productivity Networks Program
Grants of up to $600,000 are available to new and existing networks of Victorian manufacturers through the Manufacturing Productivity Networks program.
The program is designed to assist manufacturing firms to work collaboratively with one another or research institutions on common projects to improve productivity, identify new business opportunities and increase competitiveness.
Eligible business networks can apply under two grant streams:
- Up to $50,000 to support network information and scoping activities
- Up to $600,000 to support significant network projects
All grants are awarded on a competitive basis and must be matched by a minimum financial contribution of $1 for every $1 granted.
Round 5 is currently open for applications and will close at 3pm, 5 August 2014.
Networks interested in applying for a grant are encouraged to discuss their proposed project with a Victorian Government Business Development Manager (BDM).
